The elements joined by 和hé （and） are coordinated, that is, they often belong to the same category.
When we talk about topics such as, "Your favorite Chinese food" or "Your hobbies", You may say:
1. 我喜欢吃包子和喜欢吃饺子，和我喜欢吃火锅。
Wǒ xǐhuan chī bāozi hé xǐhuan chī jiǎozi, hé wǒ xǐhuan chī huǒguō.
2. 我喜欢踢足球和我喜欢游泳。
Wǒ xǐhuan tī zúqiú héwǒ xǐhuan yóuyǒng.
3. 医生给（give）我一些药（medicine）和说：“多喝水”。
Yīshēng gěi wǒ yīxiē yào hé shuō: "duō hē shuǐ".
*Note
Generally, 和hé (and) is not used to join independent clauses or sentences.
The way to correct:
√ Make the clauses dependent：
1. 我喜欢吃包子、饺子和火锅。
Wǒ xǐhuan chī bāozi, jiǎozihé huǒguō.
2. 我喜欢踢足球和游泳。
Wǒ xǐhuan tī zúqiú hé yóuyǒng.
"饺子(jiǎo zi)", "包子(bāo zi)" and "火锅(huǒ ɡuō)", have the same Verb "喜欢(xǐ huan) & 吃(chī)", so we can only use the verb once at the beginning. In the second sentence, "踢足球" & "游泳" are no longer complete sentences by themselves.
√ Use the comma to connect the clauses:
3. 医生给我一些药，说：“多喝水”
Yīshēng gěi wǒ yīxiē yào, shuō:"duō hē shuǐ".
In example #3, simply removing 和hé (and) and using a comma is enough to connect the clauses.
√ Try to use the conjunctions to connect the clauses:
1. 我不仅喜欢吃包子，也喜欢吃饺子，还喜欢吃火锅。
Wǒ bùjǐn xǐhuan chī bāozi, yě xǐhuan chī jiǎozi, hái xǐhuan chī huǒguō.
2. 我不仅喜欢踢足球，也喜欢游泳。
Wǒ bùjǐn xǐhuan tī zúqiú, yě xǐhuan yóuyǒng.
In the sentences, we use "不仅(bù jǐn)..., 也(yě)…, 还(hái)..." (not only…， but also…) to connect two or three clauses.
